Some styles fade out and some remain forever before evolving into something a little new and fresh. Here Oh So Pretty Wedding Planning takes a look at what we believe will be trending in 2015.
Dresses
With some brides wanting to be more practical and join their guests on the dance floor with ease, they’re throwing out the ball gown and opting for a modern and minimalistic look. Dress designers are really breaking the classic moulds and providing us with a plethora of stunning and unique designs to choose from. We will also see a lean towards ‘off the shoulder necklines’. The wonderful thing about this style of dress is that it’s complimentary to almost all body types and sizes. There is such beauty in simplicity as we can see in the dress below from Elbeth Gillis.
Colours
There has been a definite shift from the pastels towards dark colours like classic blues and we don’t see that trend petering off any time soon. If you’re into symbolism this dark blue colour is a great choice as it represents trust, honesty and loyalty.
Food Stations
Serving your guests buffet style has always been poplar as it a great way of letting them be spoilt for choice and gives them the autonomy to select whatever their heart desires. This concept has taken on new meaning with the introduction of themed ‘Food Stations’. Having a well presented food station that is styled according to your wedding theme is not only practical but adds a novel element to the event.
Wedding Cakes
White is out, unfrosted is in. This doesn’t mean your cake will be dull. Get creative by bringing in your personality or your theme. Include flowers, fruit, ribbon or sprinkles. Get guidance and inspiration by working with an industry professional like Wades Cakes, remember you don’t have to be all vanilla! It’s your day you make the rules.
